In 2021, we made industrial concrete floors in Warsaw. We made an industrial floor with a thickness of 25 cm, with the addition of steel fiber.

What we did on this construction:

  • additional reinforcement around columns and near corners;
  • production of industrial concrete floor in DST technology;
  • cutting of construction seams.

How to maintain the durability of industrial concrete flooring?

Industrial concrete flooring is a frequent choice in industrial locations due to its strength, chemical resistance, and ability to withstand heavy load. However, the durability of such a surface can greatly depend on proper care and maintenance. Here are some tips on how to take care of the durability of industrial concrete flooring.

Screeding concrete and industrial floors

Regular cleaning: Always keep the floor clean, regularly remove dirt and prevent the accumulation of dirt, dust and chemicals. Inadvertently leaving chemicals or oils on the surface can lead to permanent damage.

Use the right cleaning materials: Use cleaners designed for concrete floors – some soaps or detergents can be too aggressive and damage the concrete. Always read the labels of cleaning products and check if they are suitable for use on concrete surfaces.

What can be washed industrial concrete floors?

Industrial concrete floors are exposed to many harmful factors such as oils, chemicals, heavy equipment or dirt. Therefore, cleaning these surfaces requires appropriate cleaning agents.

For cleaning industrial concrete floors from concrete, you can use concrete-safe detergents or soaps that are suitable for use on industrial floors. It is important to avoid strongly acidic or alkaline formulations that can damage the structure of concrete.

These are some of the products you can use to clean industrial concrete floors:

1. Industrial detergents: Are specially formulated to remove greasy or oily stains without damaging concrete. They can be used with mops, floor cleaning machines or pressure washers.

2. Neutral pH soaps: Neutral pH soaps are safe for concrete and can effectively remove everyday dirt.

3. Cleaning agents with enzymes: Enzymes can be very effective in breaking down fats and oils, making them ideal for cleaning industrial concrete floors.

4. Lemon-based cleaning agents: These agents are natural and less rough for concrete, and at the same time effective in removing stains.
